
Dr. Diana Whitehead is a board-certified gastroenterologist and internist with over 15 years of clinical experience. She earned her MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University / Rhode Island Hospital and her fellowship in Gastroenterology at Dartmouth–Hitchcock Medical Center.
Her specialties include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, as well as general gastroenterology and hepatology. Before joining Woodholme Gastroenterology, she founded and directed the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) in 2018. She has published widely and has been recognized multiple times by Baltimore Magazine as a “Top Doctor.” As Chair of Elevate’s Advisory Board, she provides strategic leadership with a focus on the gut–mind connection and its role in whole-person health.
